Drug Testing
Substance Abuse Screening is offered at a National Institute on Drug Abuse
(NIDA) approved lab, now SAMSA. This certification by the federal government
is received by a lab after extensive examination and rigid requirements are
met. At our SAMSA lab each sample is split at the start of the testing process.
The two samples travel side by side down a laboratory testing cycle and are
tested simultaneously.
The results are then matched and compared. If they do
not match and a "drug" substance is possible in the sample the sample
then automatically moves on to Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectroscopy testing
or commonly known as gas confirmation. This means the test results are as close
to 100% accurate as scientifically possible. What NIDA means to the client
are the drug sample tested and the results are essentially irrefutable evidence
in a court of law.
"DOT" Drug Screening has standards and cut-off levels established by the Department of Transportation (DOT) for their industry, which includes drug screening for interstate truck drivers and other similar positions. This type drug screen is done with specific criteria, which strictly adheres to the needs of this industry.
Gas Confirmation is the process by which a collection sample is tested with the more complex, reliable (virtually 100% accurate from a scientific standpoint) and expensive gas chromatography/mass spectrometry test. Confirmatory tests are vital for assuring accuracy, maintaining positive employee morale and minimizing legal vulnerability.
We have over 30 No-Charge SAMSA rated collection sites throughout the area
plus access to thousands nationwide. We provide you with the proper forms.
The
applicant
merely needs to fill in a very small amount of data, present the form at the
collection site and leave a sample.
